Weird black glitch/gub

So my brand new MSI GS70 Stealth Pro arrived today. I was installing all of my programs such as steam and games etc.. 

 

But then I came across this weird black area that comes up when I hover over a program in the taskbar.

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated :D

 

EDIT: the title was supposed to be Weird black/glitch/bug  :P
