Never mind there's no getting to you, trying to help you, and they don't have a choice the sponsor's make them wear those at tournaments and lans, audio is audio a gaming headset isn't better for games.....

ye sure, if this consoles you headphones are the best in everything, it's pretty obvious that they are the best, i'm so silly i talked about headsets lol what a dummy, there is no chance, that's why i'm going to pick audio technica headphones and beyerdynamic headphones because couple of ......... said they are better yeah sure.

I... They don't use headsets on lan... They just don't. (go look up any video ever of a major.) hell, someone on fnatic (I think) was wearing a pair of ue900. It's a fact that open headphones give better positioning than closed, and you simply cannot argue that. The pros wear the headsets because they get sponsored for it. Think about this: cs go pro teams don't *really* sell anything (yes, there is team gear, but it's not enough to make a team profitable) what they sell is advertising space. Yes, they are required to wear (or have near them) headsets by one of the sponsors. Why do you think that at majors, they all have headsets hanging off their monitors and around their necks? It's not comfortable to wear a rig mic with a headset, but they still do it because they have to.

Another thing: when a pro uses something from a sponsor, they get that bit of kit for free, in addition to (maybe) getting some money for using it. None of the high end headphone manufacturers will give their headphones away for free, unless it's a review unit going to multiple people. This is because the MASSIVE majority of people who are willing to spend $500+ on a pair of headphones are not primarily gamers, they are people who listen to music. As such, it doesn't make any sense for a company to sponsor a team with expensive headphones.

Of course the pros wear sponsor gear. It's literally how they make a living.

Also, yes headphones are better than headsets (especially for the money, above about $100) because more of the budget can be allocated to the sound, not the mic. Also, because open backs do not produce resonance, they have better positional accuracy, thus making them better for gaming.

By the way if you haven't already bought a headset the Roccat Kave XTD 5.1 might be better than the SS in terms of shooters. However its terrible for music. Yet it has real 5.1 surround sound and I guess a better bass.

No, it does not have real 5.1 surround. It simply does not. I'm on mobile, so I can't link it, but look at @ShearMe post called "7.1 headphones?" (it's in his sig)
