Get the 970, it's worth it. The 960 is a decent jump from the 750ti, but not a huge one. On the other hand, the 970 is a massive leap above the 750ti.

Btw I'm getting the upgrade next summer so the price may lower

if its next summer than wait for the new series.

 

or get a 980 as it will be even cheaper then.
