New world record for fastest RAM speed!

Today is a big day for benchmarking, loads of records have been set by the new Skylake CPU's!

 

"Chi-Kui Lam" an overclocker from Hong Kong has just set a new world record for fastest RAM speed, nearly 4800 mhz ( 4795.4 mhz to be exact)

 

From the looks of it he was using G.Skill RIpjaws 4 RAM, and an Asrock Z170 OC Formula.  (The board I'm actually planning on getting probably)

 

I expect within the next few weeks we may see 5000 mhz, as this seems to just be the beginning!  (Especially once the new G.Skill TridentZ 4000 mhz kits are launched)

the 6.8 ghz submission was done with Liquid Helium, it appears these new CPU's may not have a cold-bug as bad as haswell did.  We may very well see 7 ghz in the near future :]

I think so far the Cinebench @ 1400+ points was like 6.3 or something on Ln2

 

Fastest 6700k I've seen on water so far was a touch higher than 5ghz, scored ~1110 cinebench R15
