Win 10 is mean... Any fixes?

LeightonPC
Go to solution Solved by TetraSky,

Nope

Open the case, see if the drive spins up.

If yes, change the SATA port it is connected to.

If that doesn't work, try a different SATA cable (data).

If no, it's dead, throw it out or make a coaster with the drive platter.

Alright,

I am going to start of by admitting I am probably stupid for updating without checking but I have ran into a issue. I updated VIA the ISO because I couldn't be fucked waiting.

My issue is my 2tb hard drive now doesnt show up. I unplugged it for the install because I didnt want to loose all my games ect but now it just doenst work.

Please help meh.

Nope

Is it plugged in securely?

Please spend as much time writing your question, as you want me to spend responding to it.  Take some time, and explain your issue, please!

I was going to say do a system restore back to before the upgrade but then I read the OP and all I can say is I had the same problem and solved it via switching AHCI to IDE for sata operation :)
