Should I go with a HD 7950 or the GTX 770. looking at my current budget I'm thinking the 7950.

I'd go 770 but both are 100% fine

Personally id go gtx 770 because GPU Boost 2.0 would be very benifecial if you have good cooling in your case

The 500r will be stocked full of fans I don't mind having a slightly higher noise with better cooling then a silent case with barely any cooling.

Looks really good. For the graphics card I would go either 770 or wait for the 9000 series in October.

Thats the ting if I add the 770 over the HD 7950 it would take my build over the confort budget.

Well then if you don't want to go 770 you could go 760 or just wait for the new amd cards in October (though no promises that it will be better than the current nvidia cards).

I'm up for recommendations on the build like what will help me squeeze in the GTX 770 but would like to keep the red, black and silver/gray scheme.

That is true, I might have all the money near the end of august the computer I'm on has a AMD a8-3870k on a biostar ta75a+ with a hd 6870 atm.

Yah so pretty much anything current will be an awesome upgrade. I would probably just wait and see what the amd cards look like. Unless you need the new pc now then I would wait.

Yea I will more than likely get the new computer when I get the money, I could go ahead and get the mobo cpu cooler and possibly the psu right now.

That seems like a good compromise.

Red/Black OR silver/grey or Red/Black AND silver grey?

It should run fine. Also the changes @WoodenMarker made look good.

On the bottom of the pcpartpicker it says PNY 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 Memory operating voltage of 1.65V exceeds the Intel Haswell CPU recommended

Hmm, if you don't mind the blue accents on the 7970, my build fits that theme just fine.

Keep in the mind the 7970 is nearly neck to neck with the 770. Also, the blue accents would be at the bottom of the gpu so you wouldn't see it anyway.

Alright sounds good, the 7970 overclocked would be upto par to a 780 wouldn't it?

No... A 7970 is neck to neck with the 770.

If you're talking about crossfire, 2 7950's is like a 780.

2 7970's is more powerful than a 780.

I'm not talking about a stock 780 btw. You should always be overclocking your gpus as much as you can.
