If you're having GPU issues after the install then its normal. Just restart the PC and everything should be fine. This solution worked for me and I also installed the Windows 10 GPU driver before installing it.

It actually isn't.

The drivers that you had before for your GPU were Win 7/8 drivers.

Windows 10 needs new drivers. By installing them your GPU will work again.

That's why you can select your OS on the NVidia driverpage...

It actually is, sometimes it installs the new drivers and some times it doesn't, from my installs it was about fifty fifty.

Really? So Windows actually downloads the NVidia/AMD drivers on its own?

Didn't know that o:

My friend tried to upgrade to Windows10 but half way it just gets stuck at a black screen. Thinking there was a corrupted install, he did a clean install of Windows 7 and then tried the upgrade again, and still the same problem. Turns out somehow Windows has set his HDMI port as the primary output, so that's why his dvi port stop working and went black. But after the install is completed, dvi will work again, but none of the desktop icons appears and open programs seem to be running on some other screen. When he connected with hdmi, all desktop icon shows up and also the running programs. To set his dvi as the primary he had to hook up both screens and then set dvi as primary output, after that, his win10 works with the dvi port.
