I've been flogging the shit out of my 970 for months trying to hit this magical "slow vram" chunk. Honestly it's a non-issue in day to day gaming.

Most of the "I have slowdowns because of the VRAM!!!!111" complaints I've seen and attempted to replicate usually end up being user error. Or shit Nvidia drivers.

I have only ever seen it come close in Shadows of Mordor so far.

That being said the 390 is excellent and if it's close in price to the 970 (varies location to location) it's a seriously good choice.

Im not flaming you. And the 970 is a 4gb card.

But only 3.5 is fast! :D (still totals 4GB but 0.5 is slow and its actually same speed as DDR3 so 4GB of GDDR5 sounds wrong unless its named + 0.5 slow GDDR5.)
