They both have 4 gb vram and the zotac one is the cheapest 980.

A 980 is slightly faster than a 970, and the 970 is not as good for higher resolutions. Ignore the 3.5GB crap people will spew.

I feel the 980 isn't worth it's price tag. You're better off sticking to the 970 if you're going to play on 1080p and gtx980ti if you are going beyond that red. 980 seems to be a pointless card at the moment for it's price tag
