Someone tell me again why PC gaming is better. I've watched too many "why console is better vids"

PierreCCesario

This is like asking "why is christianity better, i've watched too many "why judaism is better vids"".

You appear indoctrinated and are baiting someone to conform your bias. The possibility you're going to defend or rationalise your pre-existing bias, eventhough you're asking differently, is too easy to predict. And who is seriously going to waste his breath...

Or, you already know and are just creating trollbait. Either way, this is pointless.

EDIT; apparently still a lot of people try to explain...

well arguable christianity is judiams 2.0 with the whole bible update thing (this is a joke i am not calling one better then the other just pointing out some amusing historical context), but yeah this seems like a troll thread

Haha, people always quote the online cost. Is $3.50 a month really that much?

$3.50 * 12 = $42, over 5 years = $210

So $400 console is now $610, and thats just 5 years of useage,

So here we go $400 console, $210 in online fees, $400 laptop = $1010

Plus you need to keep your PS3/360 for your old games,

Or get a $700 PC, that does both functions, costs less, plays games better, lasts longer, is backwards compatible

Hahahaha. 5 years is a bloody long time...

In the grand scheme of things it's still a miniscule amount.

One could easily say you'd likely have to upgrade the graphics card in the PC over that 5 years, thus increasing its price even further.

What? I still have my PS3 and that came out in 2006, I have no intention of getting rid now I have to keep my PS2, PS3 and PS4 in order to play all of my old games

The PS4 will need upgrading in  years to a PS5 too just like a PC will

A GTX 460 came out in 2010 and here it is playing witcher 3

Someone tell me again why PC gaming is better.

A comparable PC can do everything* a current-generation console can do—often better—while at the same time giving you more freedom.

*Except for exclusives. But that's what the Wii U is for.

The PS4 will need upgrading in  years to a PS5 too just like a PC will

And in addition to that, the PS5 will be a necessary, and expensive, upgrade to keep playing new games. PS4 support will completely cease at some unspecified but imminent date.

Someone happy with a GTX 460 today probably doesn't need to spend a comparable $400–500 to stay happy.
