I would like to keep this under $1000 US, my core 2 quad/GTX 590 system I feel isn't holding up anymore and my 590 is a hydro copper and I would rather not make a whole loop and waste the money till I can get at least an 8350. my question is that is this a good enough PC for what I need, recording, livestreaming, video editing, ect.. I have a 840 PRO SSD already, windows 8, and two 3TB HDD's going in a raid 0 off my raid card so those aren't needed either.

make any modifications you like and get back to me. thanks!

Maybe I should have said a little more, the games I will be streaming are Arma 2, dayZ, arma 3, dayZ standalone, and BF3/BF4. All will be at 576P (Down scaled 720P but same picture quality). I have good enough internet to stream at 1080P but most people can't watch it so that's not needed, all games are going to be played at 1920x1080 and 2560x1440. My core 2 quad system is going to be ran as a server till I get the 8350, around December time frame, it will maintain it's loop to remain silent and to keep at 3,2GHZ while still being cool running.

For streaming as well I recommend getting an Avermedia Live Gamer HD, it'll make streaming a lot easier and take stress away from your system while gaming making it more stable. And you'll need a beefier processor. But apart from that it's a very good system

Wont making  new loop be less expensive you just need to buy new tubing and use the old radiator and pumps?

Well I am also keeping my core 2 quad system running as a server so I can't re-use my 240M rad and I would need a new block as well, a rad, new tubing, new res, new pump. Since I am a EK fanboy it will get quite pricey.

Is there really a big performance gain from a 7970 over a GTX 590 ????

590 out does it, but like I stated I don't want to build a whole new loop just to have to upgrade it come December. I would start from scratch with nothing other than the 590 ready. I night as well buy a whole new system and have my C2Q running  as a server until I can get a 8350 then do a loop.

Streaming can be an intensive thing to run while doing highres gaming and for multiple applications(especially intensive ones) it's better to have more cores and while the 8350 has 8 fake cores they will still be much better for hat you need it for, also it is the best gaming CPU that AMD offer right now which is something you really want to be looking at if you want good streaming. Content creating requires you to have a good setup otherwise people won't watch

And seriously, a Xeon? Too much RAM. Don't go anything lower than a h80 otherwise you're better off with air cooling.

The 8350 has a full 8 cores, same with the 6300 with a full 6. Intel has quad cores that split it have each core do two things at a time. an 8350 is about on par in streaming with a 3770K and 3820 and in gaming with an I5.I won't go intel because i see no use in it, they are good but not needed most of the time, even editing they aren't used as often as a good GPU that is faster at rendering videos. I know full well what streaming in-tales, a 6 core 6100 does pretty damn well in games while streaming, a buddy of mine had one and stayed above 30FPS with no frame drop. He was on slower internet than me and streamed at a higher res than I will. price to performance AMD is the way to go 80% of the time.

xeons aren't good in gaming really. the H60 isn't good for cooling, and also I would only be able to upgrade to a I7 and not OC it past 4GHZ , not really worth the money to price. 16GB's of ram is nice tho and the 770 but the 770 will be bottleneck by the CPU sadly.

First of all, I would spend the extra 50 bucks and get the 8350 instead of the 6300, I have installed  some 6300, and while its true that it is a really good processor, it does not provide the gaming experience an 8350 does + it probably wont be able to sustain high graphic gaming + streaming.

Then, I would save up those extra 50 bucks and buy the 8350 straight away, then you can use your (renewed) loop as your first PC and have your old PC as a server.

On top of this, why do you need a 7970 on a server? That is a kickass gaming GPU and you are going to have that on a server (its either that or the watercooled 590).

If I where you, I would get a cheeper card in case you wish to game on your server (lol) but stick to a powerful-watercooled main PC and then have an aircooled server.

If you wish to upgrade your GPU, I dont think a 7970 will make it, you should aim for a 780 right now... (http://gpuboss.com/gpus/Radeon-HD-7970-vs-GeForce-GTX-590

the 590 wins in gaming applications)

An i5-4670 would do a better job imo.

As for your internet connection --- I was able to have a perfect 720p stream using 4Mb up + 2Mb for gamming (so my up is 6Mb, 4 was just for the steam).

Planning on trying StarCitizen (Highly recommended)? STAR-NR5P-CJFR is my referal link

An 8350 doesn't have a full 8 cores... It has cores split into a 4 full cores and 4 virtual cores which is why people say it has 1.5 cores... Just go for the 8350, it'll be better in the long run. Also, I never disputed going with AMD

Oh no the C2Q is going to be a server till I can buy the 8350 and then the 6300 is going to be the server CPU with a 970MOBO, the C2Q will the turn into my brothers gamin PC. The 590 I think I will sell and put my 480 in the C2Q system or sell the 480 and put the 7970 in the C2Q system.the server is a "in the mean time" thing as of right now.

I know just getting it out of the way, also as I just posted, the C2Q is going to be my brothers gaming PC after I get the 8350, then the 6300 will be the server chip since it will handle it better then the c2q.

Soo, does this leave you without a graphics card for your streaming machine then?

576P is the same picture quality as 720P but more people can watch it, much easier if they have a low DL or if twitch servers are sucking. ifi wanted I could do 1080P streaming but will lower the audience range by a huge amount.

Bandwith? internet bandwith? PCIE bandwith? lol I have 25up and 25down, I stream with a 6 buffer at 576P.

By that do you mean 6000 bitrate and 576p resolution? That's entirely overkill if so, you only need 4000 bitrate for 1080p, if that lol

1. You will need that much power when u are streaming

2. Also you will need atleast 16 gigs of ram when you want to edit your content.

3. You can get an air cooling solution aswell. It's your choice. You can put in a Hyper 212 in there since you cant overclock Xeons.
