I'm looking at the MSI Gaming N760 TF 2GD5/OC and thinking about upgrading from my twin Sapphire Vapor-x GE/OC 7770's is it worth it or is a 7870XT better ?

also I cant go any higher in price so dont say save for a 770 or a 7950 please.

The 760 and 7950 are not the same price.

MSI Gaming N760 TF 2GD5/OC  its 250 and the 7950 that I would buy is 330. so far 760 is the best per dollar lol.

P.s no-one wants to buy a blower 7950 for 260 bucks :)

Or should I wait till AMD's october release.

AMD will release the high-end cards in October, so they will be quite expensive, possibly outside of your budget, the more affordable SKUs will come out later, possibly around November.

If you can stretch your budget just to $320 you can get an overclocked, custom cooled HD 7970 from sapphire, that's what I'd recommend doing.

However if you cannot stretch to $320, I'd suggest grabbing a 7950 boost for $275, it's a significantly faster card than the 760 when both are overclocked + you get more VRAM which is honestly very important, as I'm already hitting 1.7GB memory usage on Far Cry 3 & even 2.5GB on modded Skyrim.

Depends on the retailer.

I went to MicroCenter, Newegg, and Amazon. Not one of them were priced the same.

I used all 3GB in Hitman Absolution.

Yeah Im looking at the vapor-x 7950 considering I love vapor-x. This idea came from me buying an HD PVR2 I thought it would be cool having no frame loss but its just awful for PC recording so I'm going to get the 7950 to record on Hopefully SOON.

I've done a lot of reading and it appears that a 4gb gtx 770 is a really good dead and with the 9970 competing with the 780 most likely in the 500 to 600 range which I can't afford the 770 will probably compete with the 9950 also I'm getting the zotac 770 which is nvidia sapphire. Thank you guys for helping me out ill miss AMD .

Just get a 7970.. It's much cheaper, has more vram, and nearly neck to neck with the 770.

Yeah I like that Msi 4 gb version but I like the zotac 770 4gb it's usually faster than the 7970 and has that extra gig which suites me perfectly and you can call it the 3rd fastest single Gpu ATM I understand the 7970 is good for the money but I like new stuff and I need all the VRAM I can get for the money.

760 is very bang for buck too. If ur not a fan of radeon drivers, look no further. Msi has a nice Twin Frozr IV =)

Catalyst drivers haven't given me a problem I just needed a single Gpu that will last and 770 is perfect ill always be a bit of an AMD fanboy. :)
