thoughts on i3-4160

I'm gonna be building a PC soon for my dads business and ive done a few build plans for him to look at, i was thinking of suggesting the i3-4160 in one of the plans.

 

How well would this cpu perform when used for word processing, media playback and maybe some light modelling and CAD work? (using it integrated graphics)

I think people misread it, thinking that he said that he knows that AMD IS better than Intel, as opposed to him knowing more about AMD products than he does about Intel products.

Yep, reading comprehension isn't very good on tech forums (of any forums for that matter). If people would take the time to read what he wrote they would understand he meant he knows more about AMD than Intel. 

 

@Stevoicus Haswell I3 is a very good cpu and will work well for office work

FX is fine. Intel is fine. ALL CPUS ARE FINE FOR HELLS SAKE. Even Via QuadCore CPUS ARE FINE.

I just prefer Athlon though, but if you like FX that's fine to me.

FX is fine to me, although I rarely choose it for a build.

If 4 AMD cores I pick Athlon X4 but if 6 or 8 then FX.
