Would it be possible to make a home server that I can use later as a LAN rig by having a spare Windows drive, taking out the harddrives and installing my main rig graphics card? I want to have it the Fractal Design Node 304.

And what parts would you suggest, like motherboard and prosessor?

Thanks!

Yeah, right guys? Guys?

What will you do with the home server? Files, host games?

Well, build the system around the idea of it being a LAN computer.

Please spend as much time writing your question, as you want me to spend responding to it.  Take some time, and explain your issue, please!

grab yourself an i3, i5 or similar xeon, fitting motherboard, and GPU to your liking (best a gpu you can take out the system easily).

as for cpu cooler, get something you're not afraid of transporting, but still cools well at low RPM.

RAM wise, just get yourself the usual 8GB.

I wouldnt bother with miniTIX for home server. Atleast go with a super small MicroATX. This way you can fit a good network card in there to get better speeds and stability. Most mid to lower end motherboards got poor or mediocre onboard network "cards" anyway
