Hi all,

Just ran my system through PassMark 8.0, and it returned a score of 5191.0.  Is that good?  I see on PassMarks site, the top 20 systems, but nothing for me to compare my system to.

System Specs:

Fractal Design Mini

ASUS ROG Maximus V Gene

Corsair H60i water cooling

Core i7 3770k @ 4.4Ghz

Dominator Platinum 2133mhz 16gb

Corsair 850watt PSU

Samsung 840 Pro 256gb SSD

ASUS Radeon 7970 3gb

Thank you everyone, take care.

P.S. What are your scores??

Asrock board?  Haven't bought one in years.  Are they good?

Think you need a bigger power supply warmmilk.  LOL Smile%20Gif.gif

Thanks everyone, for posting your scores, gives me a baseline.

well this one is nothing to write home about...  actually had to rma, it died on me out of nowhere about 2 weeks after I got it, after that its been fine for a 50 dollar board.  My last build had an ASRock X79 Extreme7.  That one was great, sold that come to a friend of a friend who knows next to nothing about comps, just wanted a gaming comp.  He's been running it without issue for about 6 months now (I had it for about 6 months prior to that)

lol... about the psu... I like the feature where it won't turn on the fan till it starts using 20% of power or more... that 250 watts at 1250...  but it typically turns on after a few mins of usage even when I know I'm not using more than 250 watts.  But it never goes over the 16db mode (it has 3 modes, off, 16db quiet mode, and cooling mode which will ramp up the fan as it needs), and 16db is pretty much silent.  and it was on sale when I got it, i think around $180, which is cheaper than lots of lesser PSU's.  After one bad psu experience, I will always go the overkill route...

That is a really neat feature.  I have a Corsair 850, in my Fractal Define Mini - it's uber quite.

yeah, I kinda regret buying it, wish I would have bought a Corsair so that I'd be able to buy sleeved cables for it...

As much as I love Corsair, I had to RMA my 850watt'r, for hideously bad coil whine.  Problem free now, with a new one.

You could by a custom braiding set, with all the tools you need to braid, I've done in before and its not to difficult, just takes patience

Wow, your score went way up.  I don't think I'm getting a fair score for my SSD.  The Samsung 840 Pro's just went on sale, I might just have to setup raid 0.  LOL :)

I don't think its your SSD, the 840 Pro and the Vector perform within margin of error of each other, and mine isn't in raid 0, just 1 drive...

I'm gonna guess its the combination of cpu and graphics card that makes the difference.

Oh, I forgot to even look at the breakdown.  Good point, I'll run the test again.  Wonder if the CPU score will go up any, bump'd it from 4.4Ghz to 4.5Ghz?
