The only reason I picked EVGA is because the MSI card is red.

MSI, EVGA and Gigabyte are all good card makers (not sure about Zotac) so there's no mistake in choosing one of the other.

Just pick the one you think looks the nicest.

my friend bought an evga ftw+ 970 for £61 more than my msi 970 and it wont oc as well what an idiot, who spends £350 on a 970.

 

all evga cards look  the same, theyre pointless.

I'm talking performance and OCing. If I got the EVGA card, I plan to paint half of it red like MSI's design.

For overclocking and the like you can't beat a good old EVGA card,

tell that to my 980 classified that can't even handle 40+ on the core

Why don't you like them? Just curious because besides kingpin models I haven't heard of any EVGA models being very good for overclocking. MSI, Asus, Zotac or Gigabyte are probably better options.
