I made a thread similar to this some time ago but put that in the New builds and planning area, and figured it would be more effective posting here.

Originally I was going to water cool my current setup,

However recently i decided that since I'd be getting around $2000 sometime within the next couple of weeks I was going to use it to build an x99 platform and sell my cpu, motherboard, memory, and video card. (I'll be keeping the storage, case, and possibly the power supply (I might sell it and buy a 750w since with the x99 build i'd only have a little over 100w of space).

The x99 build,

Originally I was thinking about water cooling the cpu and gpu, however i really like the design of the msi 980ti so I want to leave it as it is and just water cool the cpu itself, when I do that I also plan on overclocking it to preferably 4.0ghz.

When i made my first thread, I honestly didn't have a clue when it came to finding what parts to get (i was certain i could assemble the loop, just wasn't too sure on all the parts i needed). However I do have an idea of the parts I want to get now.

The water cooling parts i have figured out so far,

For the reservoir I really liked the idea of this 2 x 5.25 reservoir http://www.alphacool.com/product_info.php/info/p1356_Alphacool-Repack-Dual-Bayres-5-25--Clear-Rev-2.html

As for the pump, I saw this one in a Jayztwocents video http://www.performance-pcs.com/ek-ddc-3-2-pwm-12v-pwm-pump.html also a heatsink housing for it http://www.performance-pcs.com/ek-ddc-heatsink-housing-nickel.html

As for the radiators, I was originally going to put a 3 x 120mm rad at the top of the case http://www.alphacool.com/product_info.php/info/p1212_Alphacool-NexXxoS-XT45-Full-Copper-180mm-Triple.html and put a 120mm rad to the left of the motherboard, however instead I decided to put a 240mm at the front of the case http://www.alphacool.com/product_info.php/info/p977_Alphacool-NexXxoS-ST30-Full-Copper-240mm.html

As for the cpu plate, most likely this http://www.alphacool.com/product_info.php/info/p1141_Alphacool-NexXxoS-XP--Light---Acetal-Edition---Intel-AMD.html

I made a little diagram showing how i would place these in my case,

F8U4Lh3.jpg I plan on possibly securing the pump to the top the hard drive cage (i don't plan on ever selling this case so probably by drilling screw holes into the top of hdd cage)

The only parts I'm not sure on yet are the tubes, fittings, and fluids.

For the tubes I'd most likely look for a dark red color, non-transparent. them being 13/10 sized.

As for the fittings, this is the part I have no clue about, not sure how many i need or exactly what kind. I know I want 45 degree curved fittings on the two slots on the top rad. *two 90 degree fittings on the cpu plate, possibly two on the back of the reservoir (probably because the drive cage in the way and I want to make sure there's enough clearance so the tubes don't get bent) I'm also not sure what kind of barbed fittings I need, or any other connectors.

Lastly for the fluids, I know I need distilled water, but i know there's chemicals your supposed to put in the water to prevent things growing inside your loop and was wondering what those chemicals are.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Also before anyone says none of this is necessary, I'm doing all this because I really like building pcs and want a new project to work on.

Actually for when I was talking about the pump I'd get, i think this one will work better, http://www.performance-pcs.com/phobya-dc12-260-12volt-pump.html the way I'd have it work is the water goes from the 5.25 res down to the top of the pump located on top of drive cage, then it will go to the right into the dual rad, and from the dual rad it would go to the cpu, and from the cpu to the top triple rad, and from the top triple rad to the res. and back again
