You can run Titan X on a 2.0 without issues!

I believe Linus or another tech person on YouTube did benchmarks for 2.0 vs 3.0 and found no difference. Just like 3.0 8x vs 16x has no difference.

Obviously there's a bandwidth difference but I believe they showed no performance increase in games as far as fps go with 2.0 vs 3.0

That's why I saved my friend some money when I built him a new computer. Used am3+ instead of the newer fm sockets. Paired with a gtx 760 I believe.

I currently have a am3+ mobo my dumb self ordered a fm2+ on accident. I origanally was going to return it till i started looking around hmmm why would a fm2+ mb come with a SLI card pattern (im speaking of the MSI a88x matx). So i started to look around at what i could possibly try to made work with that fm2+ mb. So i found AMD a10 7870k godavari quad core 3.9ghz for 149. not a bad price really since it stacked up against an i3 and dominated in graphics and thats all this machine is really going to do. but my question to you it i currently have a msi 760ga-fx (MB) fx-6300 3.5 vishera (CPU). id like to attempt the MSI a88x (MB) AMD A10- 7870k (CPU) is it 1) worth it 2) going to increase gameplay?[emoji1] thanks again

I believe there are non APUs on the FM2 socket, getting an APU when you are using dedicated graphics is simply a waste, put your money on processing power, not integrated graphics you won't use
