Which GPU to buy

Go to solution Solved by Praesi,

Any particular brands? ik ASUS is awesome, EVGA is ok, dk about others much

Zotac,EVGA,Gigabyte,Asus,MSI,Galax for example.

Zotac amp! extreme is the fastest out of the box with highest clockspeed and OC memory. In my Eyes the best Ti you can have if you dont want liquid nitrogen cooling. And maybe 0,1% here will do that.

Ok, hope this won't start a war

So from the start i loved ATI, had Nvidia but both GPUs died in the first month (burned out, literally), so i trusted ATI and when AMD bought them, i trusted that AMD will give the same quality service as ATI did...that was till 2013 when the last actual working driver came out, the 13.12 one, after that i had constant crashes on my R9 270x. Their support was...idk what it was, aliens or something. Ok back on topic, so since their drivers aren't working (for me atleast) i want to switch to Nvidia, but am still getting that itching feeling of buying the Fury X.

So, i came here to ask you guys (love the tech tips channel  ) so i thought the community must be good too :P

Thoughts?

EDIT: I'm upgrading the whole PC, so no real specs, but the budget is around 1000-1200€ (summer job pay is 1400€)

I will leave my old monitor for now (LG 3D D2342P) and i have a mouse/keyboard ofc.

I'll use it mostly for games and hosting a server for Minecraft or anything like that, tho i want to start making my own games, was always a small dream of mine :P

From what I've read both Nvidia and AMD have horrible drivers right now, It's really up to you. I just bought a 390 and I'm kind of wishing I had stuck to nvidia, but as I learned do an insane amount of research before you buy anything.

i would go for the fury x since its water cooled and linus showed of in his video that the fury x outperformed the 980ti because the 980ti couldn't boost as high as in a test bench. do keep in mind that its a mini-itx case and those will run hotter but just for example.

Can you explain what do you mean by custom? like overclocked and water cooled or?

My Zotac amp!extreme is a custom modell for example. Factory overclocked cards with custom cooling solutions. Way better than Standart Reference Cards.
