Best R9 380 to get

Go to solution Solved by don_svetlio,

Sapphire - making the best AMD cards since as long as I can remember.

probably around 20 MHz clock difference. The biggest one is the cooler. I'd say Sapphire since theirs was design specifically for the card a not a refurbished Nvidia cooler (the same found on the MSI 980)

Guess that settles it then, if the cooler works the most efficiently then that will probably be the safest bet. Thanks for the info!

CPU: FX-6300 GPU: Sapphire R9 380X MOBO: Gigabyte 970A-DS3P RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8GB PSU: XFX XTR 550W CASE: Zalman Z11 Plus SSD: Samsung 840 Evo

Sapphire, Gigabyte or MSI. Reasons:

- They all cool the memory, so you'll be able to overclock it way more.

- Coolers are efficient and reasonably quiet.

- Designs are among the best.

I would choose Gigabyte or Sapphire, since MSI is way too big for a simple 380.

Build: CPU: Intel i5 4690k OC = 4.4Ghz | GPU: Gigabyte R9 285 OC = 1100/1575MHz | MB: MSI Z97M Gaming | RAM: Corsair 8GB 2133MHz CL9 | Storage: Crucial MX100 512GB Cooler: Thermaltake Frio Silent 14 | CaseCooltek U3 | PSU: Corsair RM550 | MonitorDell UltraSharp 2414h | Keyboard: Steelseries 6gv2 | Mouse: Corsair M95

FireStrike score = 7803. Graphic score = 9363 (record single r9 285).
