My girlfriend will soon be taking over one of my old computers, but she wants to upgrade the graphics card. Her budget is >100$ - $150 (preferably around the 100)

The system has these components:

i5 2320 (3.00 ghz)

8GB Patriot Memory

1TB Seagate Hard drive

Motherboard is difficult to find, (Asus' own BIOS is installed) -  H61 Chipset.

350 Watt Power supply, will be upgraded to 500 Watts Soon.

This is a pre-built system (sadly, I cry looking at it)        Asus Essentio CM6830 --> www.asus.com/Tower-PCs/Essentio_CM6830/specifications/

Just wondering, what cards are compatible with this system?

May I suggest the 750ti?

“When life gives you lemons, don’t make lemonade. Make life take the lemons back! Get mad! I don’t want your damn lemons, what the hell am I supposed to do with these? Demand to see life’s manager! Make life rue the day it thought it could give Cave Johnson lemons! Do you know who I am? I’m the man who’s gonna burn your house down! With the lemons! I’m gonna get my engineers to invent a combustible lemon that burns your house down!”

Does it use a PCIe slot? Then you can use it.

Bit of an AMD fan I suppose. I don't bias my replies to anything however, I just prefer AMD and their products. Buy whatever the H*CK you want.

You can get the for $110

Would that be okay though? The 750ti requires at minimum a 350 w power supply. It wont kill anything?

The card has a TDP of 60W, it doesn't require anything close to 350w really. However, it would be a good idea to switch out the PSU. Ones that come with prebuilts like this are bad quality.

I highly doubt you'll kill anything, just so long as you don't try pushing too much power too it when overclocking. keep the power level the same when overclocking.
