I'm not. And I don't care.

A DVD wont fit into my phones USB port, so I have to copy it.

Depending how it was made

it could be one file that is the video

or Multiple files with video

resest it settings and stuff.

could use a ripping program

might just be easier to go online and find it.      since you have a copy already.

Handbrake or DVD Shrink does it apparently.

I use MakeMKV to rip the DVD to a MKV file and then use Handbrake to make an MP4 version of that for use on my phone.

With MakeMKV you can set the language, the subtitles if you want them and even rip the extras if you want, the only problem is the MKV file will be as big as the DVD is, usually around 4.5GB but can be as much as 50GB for a Blu-Ray disk.

I recommend this route for DVD ripping, it's fairly quick and you can use the presets in Handbrake to make sure the files work on whatever device you're wanting to play the films on :)

CPU: Core i5 2500K @ 4.5GHz | MB: Gigabyte Z68XP-UD3P | RAM: 16GB Kingston HyperX @ 1866MHz | GPU: XFX DD R9 390 | Case: Fractal Design Define S | Storage: 500GB Samsung 850 EVO + WD Caviar Blue 500GB | PSU: Corsair RM650x | Soundcard: Creative Soundblaster X-Fi Titanium

If it is your DVD (family video ect.) Just use imgburn, rip the media and enjoy, or alternatively run your dvd player through a capture device and record it. Those are the two ways I know personally.
