Alright,and I would assume half the performance just beause SATA 3 is 6gb/s and SATA 2 is 3gb/s. So half the performance would be excepted.

No, you would get almost the same speed as an sata3. It is just the sequensel read that is limited.

Pretty much^

This is because random read speed and the quality of the memory controller is what makes your ssd feel quick and snappy. 

Sequential read/write is how fast you transfer large files around which is really only useful for installations imo.

You can still use an SSD with SATA II, just at lower speeds. If you want the SATA 6G speeds and you have a PCIe slot, you can get a SATA 6G addon card.
