Upcoming DX 12 Games

Rohit Jackdaw

I am pretty hyped for DX 12 which comes with Windows 10 next week. I have already reserved my upgrade and have heard a lot about new DX. Mostly hoping that improved multithreading can help my FX CPU a lot. So besides Deus Ex which are the upcoming games which are sure to use DX 12 ? Syndicate ? COD ? Thanks

Probably the next DICE game, so mirrors edge catalyst perhaps,  I doubt that battlefront will use it.

I don't see why Battlefront wouldn't use it.

An AMD cpu has no place in a solely gaming build, end of.

I3 4150, Intel HD graphics, corsair CX750M, 4gb ram, Asus H81M-E, corsair 230T, Intel stock cooler WD Green 2TB Gigabyte 550TI

It might use it, as ever dice are the first most of the time when it comes to new tech, with mantle being first AFAIK talking AAA games here. Johan anderson is great he always loves to push stuff. But with mantle I thought that was a little after the battlefield 4 release, I would imagine they would bring dx-12 support in a later update as they haven't had too long to port it.

What about Syndicate as Unity went way higher on the draw calls last year so would they still be sticking with DX 11 or can we expect it to be DX 12 ?

Well if ubisoft have a "new commitment to PC gaming"(they've said it a million times before) then probably, however knowing ubisoft they'll probably fuck it up somehow.

As always we have no way to know for sure I would imagine that they would advertise it by now that it has the support if deus ex has already done the adverts for dx12 support.

Why an FX CPU? You play games but still use an FX? Unless it is out weighed by rendering and content creation.

I have bought it a year ago due to its lower price and with that amount I went from a 7850 to a 760 as my dad strictly gave 1500$ for the build and the parts are a lotta expensive here. But if DX 12 is what they say it to be then I can get a fairly good advantage. Whatever. Gonna go Intel unless AMD brings something cool next year. Still my oced FX haven't let me down yet

There is nothing wrong with the FX line of chips. I know alot of people with either i5 and i7 and my FPS is the same as theirs or just a little lower. In some cases their Intels have been maxed out on all cores while my 8320E is only at 60% at most

Honestly does it matter? It's what he has now, and he is hoping to see a boost to his gaming rig. What he should have done can be debated but he doesn't have a time machine to change anything.
