Athlon 860K Temps.

So I have my Athlon 860K at 4GHz, and while looking at temps, Im thinking that cant be right.. **Celsius**

 

HWMonitor shows like 70-75 degrees in Web browsing, and playing GTA V it shows like 90 degrees.

 

AMD Overdirve however shows 50-60 degrees Thermal Margin while Web browsing, and around 28 degrees while playing GTA V.

 

GTA V keeps my CPU at 95-100% load btw.

 

Are my temps fine? I dont want my CPU to die on me becuase it's to hot..

Try re applying thermal paste. Also what is the voltage?

What cooler are you using? What are all of your overclock settings? It's either that you're using an inferior cooler, you overclocked incorrectly, or you've got too little/much thermal paste between your cooler/CPU.

Got the cooler placed by a guy at one of the biggest computer companies in Sweden... I doubt I'll do a better job..

It says 212 EVO in the signature, I only turned on constant Turbo in Bios, that makes it always go 4GHz, I didnt do any overclocking myself.

Cooler was mounted by a professional PC builder at one of Swedens biggest PC companies..

Try to look for another temperature monitoring software, report the temperatures back.

I had same temps in HW Monitor with 760k. 60 *C idle 95 *C load... using stock cooler.

The fans were not spining 100% so I doubt the temps were showed right otherwise I would hear jet motor.

I have kinda the same thought.. My 212 EVO doesnt spin full speed so I doubt it can be that high..

APU sensors AREN'T FIABLE WITH 3D PARTY PROGRAMS!

Only AMD OVERDRIVE is fiable. There is a bunch of info in internet

yes, if AMD OD shows a margin of 28 degrees you are perfectly fine.

Yes, thermal margin is the distancd to the maximum temperature defined by AMD, which is 70 degrees iirc
