375 W? Interesting. The numbers I've found are:

From what I've read, the Fury X doesn't overclock too well, and I haven't found any

power consumptions for that, so I'm not sure how much that would change the numbers.

In any case, even if you take 375 W. that would bring you to 950 W or so. As far as I'm

aware, your PSU is a great piece of tech, and Seasonic make pretty damn good PSUs in general.

If you intend to use it for gaming, you're unlikely to fully max out your GPUs and CPU

at the same time and even if you do get close to that, I'd presonally not feel uncomfortable

running a PSU as good as that one at so much load as long as it's not 24/7.

So personally I'd just try it out in that case.

If you're intending to do computing and will max out your GPUs and CPUs at the same time

over extended periods of time, then maybe a stronger unit might be worth a look.

Anyway, if you really want to have an in-depth discussion I recommend you make a separate

thread when the time comes, I think we've derailed this one enough.

I'm interested because I have this Seasonic PSU and am considering to crossfire Fury X

Only thing that worries me is that I am not exactly sure how much power does 5820K suck at load....

You will be fine. With 3x Fury X and a 5960X at 4.5Ghz I was pulling 1000W from the wall during stress tests. Usually I go with Seasonic PSUs but EVGA was the sponsor for this build.

Might be possible for the 375 W thing but I doubt AMD left no power room.

"375 W" is what it has available from the connectors, 75 W for the slot and 150 W for each PCIe power connector.

With the exeption of the red light, so is it a very clean build.

Strange not more people have notice this build, given its an EK build.

 

Between, how do you get the images to scale (bigger when you click on them)? Usefull to know for my own build log.
