Didn't he say 4k triple monitor?

i dont know. his monitors are mixed i think. so im not sure what is where. haha.

if triple 1080 its easier to run, and the benifits from the 390cf wont be as noticable.

if hes going for 4k center with 2x1080 at the sides then i think the 390cf is a great choice.

if triple 4k, well son.. how bout you add two more 980ti haha.

As for accesories,

i do not recommend the use of a powerline Lan (the tplink wall lan) as they are not that reliable, depends on the wiring in your house alot, and if there are interferences and such.

But if a lan cable really is impossible then its ok. (sometimes dual band wifi is better, but depends)

the noctua h1 isnt as good as the cheaper arctic mx2 or mx4. so might want to get that instead.

I saw a test in wich NT-H1 had 2 degrees less compared to mx

And lan cable is really impossible

So wi-fi instead of powerline?

Why?

he loves AMD i do too, cus i love thier open aproach not all the proprietary stuff from nvidia. but in your case the 980ti will make more sense.

6gb will be enough for you. and if you dont plan to upgrade the monitors. maybe another 980ti in sli inthe future for demanding games.

haha its not all a waste. Maybe you did learn something from all the info. :) dont be afraid to try new things.

i finally selling my old trusty gtx570, gonna be getting a watercooled 290x, unless fury unlocks thier voltage and vram clocks xD. 980ti is good too, just not suitable for me, for my usage.

To make things a bit more clear:

4K TV for FIFA/NBA/WWE/MK/SF and Movies with friends

Three 1080p for simulation and TPS

144hz on top for multitasking and FPS games

Get either then. Although which ever is cheaper isn't a bad idea. You save cash that way.

oo kay this just got more confusing. lol.

are you daisy chaining them?

and i agree at this point, both 390cf and 980ti kinda make sense.

But is it even possible 5 monitors 1 pc ?

Yeah but that would you want the one with more vram, so 390. And in my opinon, the 390 is more future proofing than the 980ti. It's got more vram, so when games start needing mroe, you'll be set. And you can just add another one if you need more performance, which should be a problem.

So i think i'll just go 980ti to future proof a bit

i wouldnt call it future proof tho. its hard to predict the gaming demands. of next gen. esp with VR coming and its support for dual gpu is great, one gpu for each eye. and with that many monitors. more ram does help. esp if you are running multiple things at once. but since you are not really using any demanding games, the 980ti is enough.

so personally i would decide on the fact that if i have 5 wires i need to hook up to my pc. i want either a displayport hub, daisy chain em( if monitor support).

if not, i would get the 390cf which has more outputs. and easy handles all of em on hdmi/dp
