Hi!
Im sort of new to computers and I'd like to ask if my computer can run 4k. I would use it to watch 4k content like videos (but in 60Hz) and stuff propably not hardcore gaming. Also I was wondering does anyone know if my graphics card is using mDp 1.2?

Here are my parts:

Intel Xeon E3-1230v3 4x 3.30GHz So.1150 BOX

ASRock Fatal1ty H87 Performance Intel H87 So.1150 Dual Channel DDR3 ATX Retail

3072MB HIS Radeon R9 280X IceQ X2 Turbo Aktiv PCIe 3.0 x16 1xDVI/1xHDMI/2xminiDP (Retail)

8GB (1x 8192MB) Hammerram Value DDR3-1600 DIMM CL9- - - Single

120GB Kingston SSD Now V300 2.5" (6.4cm) SATA 6Gb/s MLC asynchron (SV300S37A/120G)

550 Watt Super Flower Golden Green PRO Non-Modular 80+ Gold

Thermalright True Spirit 120 M BW Tower Kühler

As I previously mentioned Im not a tech savvy guy.

Would I also need a mDp/DP cable or something like that and is it possible to get 60 Hz like this?

Thanks in advance!

You wont have too much fun if youre trying to play any intensive game, but it can do anything else pretty much.

@TehDogeMasta Hi, welcome to the forums!

In terms of video content consumption (4K YT, Netflix, etc), your setup is totally fine.

For 4K gaming? Will it work? "Technically", yes. But not well. I would advise against gaming at 4K on your current PC.
