What's your budget? The i5-4460/4440/ANY I5 will beat the FX-8320/8350 in all games. That graphics card is just crap and AMD probably has something much much better for the same price

Get a core i3 4160 and a r9 280 or r9 280x, the gtx 750 is utter crap!

For the same price, it actually doesn't. Check my sig. But I if he was willing to jump to 750Ti pricing, the R7 370 is better.

Quote from my CPU guide:

AMD tries to compensate with more cores for lower prices, which is great for specific tasks that get barely affected by IPC and need lots of cores, REALLY tight budget builds, or basic tasks (web browsing, mails etc.) (Do keep in mind that Intel can do all of these things as well, but more cores is expensive at their side)

But, did you notice that compensate is underlined? Because you need to keep the word into context. Compensate. An AMD CPU will almost never reign superior overall over an Intel CPU, even though it may be better bang for the buck. If you have the money, Intel is the way to go.

Now you can choose.

And it's probably going to be Intel.

Basic guide to CPU's!

OK it seems that the AMD is on the back foot...

I agree with you all gonna go INTEL!

BUT!

What GPU do you reccomend (By you guys the 750 is crap :D)

And my budget is around 600 to 630$ (I might buy the parts from amazon and ship them over here)

The only way i would like an Nvidia GPU is because of Nvidia ShadowPLay :S

But i am willing to let go of shadow play :D If its for the better (AMD GPUs)

Neither really make sense, you'd be better off getting an Intel i3 and a stronger GPU. Also please put this in the correct sub-forum next time :)

I think with your seemingly restricted budget, you'd be better off going with a Pentium G3258 + a H60 or something and then proceeding to go balls to the walls and overclock it. That would leave much more room for you to invest in a better graphics card like at least a GTX 960.

That solution would be optimal for gaming, but if you want to do productivity tasks like video editing often or 3D modeling then you're better off with the i5 and a weaker GPU.

Your CPU guide screams fanboy... what a "comparison" that was

"Intel will always be better" even though you have no idea what future CPUs will be like, and obviously are not taking into account that AMD CPUs have been much better than Intel CPUs at some points in the past. AMD FX is a line of processors that is old. For it's time it wasn't that bad, and it really shines under it's own workload which just so happens to not be gaming. You can't just say that one brand is better than the other, AMD CPUs shine in a different workload and Intel has kept up with making new CPU architectures more than AMD has, but they also come with a large price premium. As of right now Intel CPUs are generally better because of how long it's been since AMD has made a new architecture

I'm not a fanboy. Yes, I prefer Intel, but I won't treat AMD any differently than Intel (see everything I wrote beforehand).

"Intel will always be better" refers to the fact that currently, all the AMD CPU's get beaten by Intel when it comes to overall performance. AMD sometimes does shine when it comes to budget and/or very specific tasks (which I clearly mentioned everywhere I talk about AMD and Intel).

Just, AMD isn't worth buying unless you do these very specific tasks. That's a problem that hopefully will get fixed by AMD's new architecture.
