Is my 980 Ti performing normal ? Weird low fps in Witcher3.

if it's occasional dips for a split second it could be the game loading the next part of the world, or something in the distance taking a toll on everything.

like rust for example, at 4k beautiful (basically ultra) I get 60fps, until I load new parts of the world and then it will drop into the 30s, sometimes in the teens!

that's a game thing not a gpu issue.

turn off your fps counter and just enjoy the game!!

Even OC G1 and amp! dont get those fps.

Average 40-60 fps during ( 7:20 pm time in game ) walkthrough in forests. ( 1920 x 1080 + hairworks )

 

 

I check GPUZ gpu load and its 96-99%.

Did you accidentally forced crazy amount of AA thru Nvidia CP?

40 fps on "normal" ultra with hairworks and AA is not enough. You should have minimum 60fps, even more with everything to the max.

 

And your GPU Load is way to high.

 

My GPU load is ~72% with tweaked ini.

 

With the Infos you gave us, i would not trust that Card.

My new MSI 980Ti also acted very slow, no faster then my STRIX 980 card and it had a ASIC score of 64% and no matter what I did, I couldn't get it work like my Gigabyte G1 gaming which greatly increased my framerate in Witcher 3 vs my 980. I smell a bad card

Guys, just because the ASIC quality is low doesn't mean it will perform significantly slower. Try reinstall your driver and cleanup with DDU.

Did that also for my MSI, even did a full windows reinstall, still nothing.
