New Horizons

Well since Pluto was discovered in 1930 we've only ever been able to see a few pixels but now New Horizons has survived its close encounter with the dwarf planet after being launched in 2006 it has given up really detailed pictures of the final piece of the solar system (I know there are more but in schools there were 9 planets, you know what I mean lol). As someone who loves astronomy I am mesmerised with those pictures of the once elusive planet (elusive mainly due to our technological ability).

 

Anyway here is an article and a picture captured on July 13th of the amazing little world.

We can launch a probe past pluto but i still can't get a bachelor pad on the moon.. Priorities..

Something really cool about the new horizons probe is that on board is the ashes of the guy who discovered pluto.
