Corsair H100i

Hey guys! I would like to ask any of you to recommend me any fan replacement that will go along really well with the Corsair H100i? The fans on this water cooler are pretty loud and I want to replace them. I would really appreciate it if you guys would recommend me the quietest fans possible that goes along with the water cooler well.

I want a gaming PC that can run all game 1080p 60FPS!! But unfortunately, I don't have money and I'm too young to have a job XD

If you can find them, Gentle Typhoon. Second choice would be Noctua NF-F12

SP120 produces the same noise as the stock fan when running the same speed(rpm). People complain about the "noisy" stock fan because they keep running the fan at full speed.

Also the motor noise of SP120 becomes apparent when running at low speed(800rpm), compares to NF-F12.

Oh ok they seem quiet after i had the cooler master sickle flow. PS don't ever buy the sickle flow unless you want a jet engine in your room.

Which color? I see a poop brown and a vomit tan NF-F12, and a black and orange NF-F12.

I Have Noctua NF-F12s on my H100i and they made a huge improvement, however they didn't cool quite as well (it was only a few degrees), but that's because the stock fans are a lot higher rpm (which is also why they are a lot louder).  So that's the trade off.

Standard NF-F12 is vomit tan with range of 300-1500rpm. The PPC industrial version is black with brown rubber corners. Don't get the 3000rpm version, because you will not able to slow the fan enough. The 2000rpm PWM version can spin down to 450rpm, if you BIOS allows. I run mine at 750rpm idle and 1150rpm max.

Note, PPC version won't work with low-noise-adapter.

Actually the standard poop brown vomit tan NF-F12 is the better choice. It has the right range of rpm and is cheaper. But I personally cannot stand the colour.

If your mobo has good fan control app, and you dislike the vomit tan color. Then get the PPC 2000rpm PWM version.

Make sure your BIOS or Corsair link can lower the fan speed to the range you prefer. Because the NF-F12 will be just as loud as the stock H100i fans when spinning at 2000rpm.

I'm thinking of buying the Noctua fan, or the Gentle Typhoon that you just mentioned, which would you prefer and why?

It is almost impossible to find the Gentle Typhoon in Europe. Also I had some good deal when getting the PPC NF-F12, only €19 a piece. So, that is what I use. Before NF-F12, I used Corsair SP120. At the same rpm, the Noctua is slightly more quiet but the temp is 3*C cooler, based on my own test.

The Gentle Typhoon has the same good cooling capacity as the NF-F12 for radiator, but even more quiet.

NF-F12 would be ok for the H100i, but is not pressure optimised, the NF-P12 would be the better option.

I am in the same boat as the OP, and i am looking at changing the fans on my h100i too.

They are both pressure optimized fans, and the NF-F12 actually slightly better. NF-F12 is 2,61 mm H2O and the P12 is 1,68 mm H2O.  But the P12 is 2.6 DB quieter.

I have 4 NF-F12s on my h105 and they're great. Very quiet and perform very well. Highly recommended. The color doesn't bother me, but if you're looking for black ones, you can wait for the LTT edition fans.
