GPU DETAILS: GTX 760 Windforce 2GB from Gigabyte. (The rest of my rig's specs are in my signature)

I'm not sure why this is. I've done no overclocking, and temperatures look normal to me. It's worked fine for the time I've had it (since January) and problems have only been occurring in the past week. Somehow this happened while playing the least demanding game of all time (CS GO). Issues started to occur closely after an Nvdia driver update, but it seems like I'm the only one with this problem.

Should I report it as DOA to Gigabyte or what?

EDIT: I've removed the GPU in question from my rig, so I guess I've ousted myself from the Master Race

EDIT2: I did a clean install of windows a week ago. sorry for not including this information before. problems occurred before and after windows clean install.

EDIT3: Plugged the GPU back in, rolled back the driver. Going to play some Skyrim now to see if I can replicate the problem.

EDIT4: So I experienced artifacting in Skyrim as well. Not as bad though surprisingly. I them took my GPU out and played 3 hours of CS GO on CPU onboard graphics, no artifacting. Definitely a DOA product I'm sad to say.

Your specs from your sig:

What are these 'normal to you' temps like?

I'd try repasting the card; if that doesn't help then I'd assume it's dying.

yeah the video card doesn't have to be aged to die so it easily can be dying

Most of the times its the gpu die coming of the PCB or one of the memory chips is faulty. One is costly another is difficult to diagnose but cheap. If you want to try to fix it. Blow on the gpu chip at 200-280 for 30 seconds. If it will fix the artifacts that means you will have to rework the chip. This is only for diagnosis as the chip will disconnect again eventually

Edit: If you have warranty for the card, give as it should be under it

When under full load, 70-80 degrees Celsius

It's a six year old graphics card, I hope it's not dying.

Not quite sure that you can... I'm not sure Nvdia allows that

CS GO updated first, then a week later I updated my Nvdia driver. Not sure how long after (I was away for a week and a half) I observed this artifacting. I've been playing CS GO for a couple months now.

Your temps are normal for an Nvidia card, specifically 600-700 series ones. The card has GPU Boost 2.0, which overclocks itself until it hits 80 C and thats when it returns to its normal clocks. If it begins to go over 80, it will throttle.

You're card is probably dying for sure. You should probably RMA it or just buy a new card if you have the cash. The 960 is a good upgrade and basically the same price that card was but with the performance of 770.

EDIT: You can rollback your driver using windows. It will rollback to the previous driver regardless of GeForce experience. Although, this is pretty heavy artifacts, so I myself am going to assume its dying.

Although I am not exactly the Gabe Newell of GPUs, you should try calling EVGA Tech support they will help you out regardless of what kind of card you have, as long as its an nvidia GPU.

I have the cash, but I'm also sixteen and in need of a car at the moment.... so I probably don't want to be splurging too much.

But if your GPU is 6 years old I would be shocked if it was the driver causing the problems. It's probably time to lay it to rest.

Please. Stahp. TIFU and I know it, I meant six months.

I take the bus too at the moment, but a) I'm sick of walking everywhere and b) my city isn't that compact, so back to point a, it's a lot of walking
