Problem with netowrk.

Go to solution Solved by Altecice,

Soo its a DNS error. I wonder if its your ISP's DNS thats poop. Why dont you try changing DNS from automatically allocated to 8.8.8.8 (Googles DNS).

From time to time whenever I try to any enter web I get this error

HOkwOIW.png

Sometimes one restart is enough, other times I have to restart web few times until it starts loading.
It gets frustrating when this happens few times a day every day.
I have two systems connected via same router, both of them have this problem.
Any idea why is it happening?

Happens to me as well, think it's because my router is crap and there a lot of interference in my house because it doesn't happen at all over a wired connection.

Your internet speed probably isnt fast enough. I have 120MBPs down and never get that error. Probably the only thing you can do is get an higher internet speed. Or maybe your router isnt fast enough.

Im not a specialist or anything like that but these are my guesses

Here in the netherlands most people have that speed. For most providers 100MBPs is the slowest you can order xD For fiber that is

It is definitely an issue related to domain name resolution so changing the DNS server is going to your first step in troubleshooting. I never use my ISPs provided DNS servers anymore. For one they are seemingly down for a minimum of 5 hours per week and secondly they alter domain name queries if they feel you were looking for something else. Yeah it may be nice if you accidently mistype a URL but I'd rather not have my ISP poisoning my DNS results.

-snip-

Check your DNS, change the IPs to Google's DNS (8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4). Maybe it's a routing issue, or your line is bad and you have a lot of packet drops...

I have a backup business line, 15/15Mbps. I bet my ass that I can load any site 3x faster than you.

Just saying, speeds are measured in bits not bytes.

I know, I have 120 megabit per second, which is roughly 15 megabyte per second when downloading things

He was just commenting because you said "100 MBPs", which would mean 100 Megabytes per second. Remember, Bytes = Big B, Bits = little b.

Might seem trivial to type out that difference, but you're in the Networking subforum. Details matter here.

Looks like problem solved. Not a single error so far.

DNS can be a bitch sometimes, and ISP's are notorious for having shitty DNS servers. Fortunately my ISP does pretty well in that regard, but if I ever have problems, I always fall back to Google DNS.
