Hi,

I am currently deciding on parts for my build and have come to a massive problem. Which 390 to choose. Right now there is three 390's on offer on jd.com:

  1. Asus DirectCU II - 390-DC2-8GD5
  2. Dataland/PowerColor
  3. Yeston

I am really not sure which one to get. The XFX one is not in stock and the sapphire card suddenly just disappeared and I must admit I have never heard of yeston before.

I would be grateful for any advice.

Jakob

I would play it safe and go with the ASUS. They will still most likely perform around the same so you wouldn't really be losing anything besides looks bat that's subjective.

[ Rig: CPU: 4930K, GPU: EVGA 780TI SC x2, RAM: 32GB Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz, Mobo: ASUS P9 X79 LE, Storage: 120GB Samsung EVO + 2TB Seagate Barracuda, PSU: Corsair RM1000 ]

hm didn't realize yeston still made graphics cards. Well if they are anything like the older ones, they look weird but work. I would personally say powercolor because I know how well the pcs+ cooler works. And I have had issues with asus's customer support.

I would pick the ASUS

What the hell is Yeston?

Nvidia is to Dr Dre Beets as AMD is to KFC.

One makes you broke, the other you can get more of and have a midnight snack from the fridge when hungry again. Once you go Nvidia, you go broked, turn into an Elitist, or get the incorrect amount of VRAM.

I was only 9 years old. I loved Fifflaren so much, I had all the NiP merchandise and matches pirated. I prayed to Fifflaren every night before bed. Thanking him for the life I have been given. Fifflaren is love I say. Fifflaren is life. My dad hears and calls me a fuckhead. I knew he was just jelly of my passion for Fifflaren. I called him a Sw@yer. He hits me and sends me to go to sleep. I'm crying now, and my face hurts. I lay in bed and it's really cold. A warmth is moving towards me. I feel someone touching me. I feel someone touching me. It's Fifflaren. I am so happy. He whispers in my ear; "this is my pyjama". He grabs me with his powerful Swedish hands and puts me on my hands and knees. I'm ready. I spread my ass cheeks for Fifflaren. He penetrates my butt-hole. It hurts so much but I do it for Fifflaren. I can feel my butt tearing as my eyes start to water. I push against his force. I want to please Fifflaren. He roars a viking roar as he fills my butt with his love. My dad walks in. Fifflaren looks straight into his eyes and says; "He is a ninja now". Fifflaren is love, Fifflaren is life

I have a very similar product: a late production run of a 290x direct cu II OC so I am almost certain it's the same cooler. It gets hot (high 70s to mid 80s on my very toasty room tempts of mid to high 20s ) but has never thermal throttled on me at all. I say that if you have better case cooling than me it's a solid choice and I'm sure Asus would replace troublesome products without much of a hassle they're pretty big and have sufficient local distribution.

Not only that but I've since found that EK is still making their full cover water blocks for it, meaning that is one of the very few 390s you will ever get to put on a full water block later on since there are no reference models this time around.

Please search up DCU2 290/290x unless they changed the cooler DO NOT TOUCH IT

wait for XFX or sapphire to come back

I'm gonna order a card from the US and import it. Do you recommend XFX or Sapphire? None of the cards really fit my color scheme and I did hear horrible things about the asus cooler.

saphire if your not watercoooling (better coolers but not covered if you watercool)

xfx if you are (worse coolers (not that bad though I recommend if cheaper too) but will cover the card if you water cool just tell them first)

Thats that. If you need to get in touch chances are you can find someone that knows me that can get in touch.
