[iPhone 6] Want to buy LCD Digitizer - don't know which one (quality? durability?)

MicheleIT

Hello Fella's

little Question:
I'm thinking about buying an iPhone 6 for abut 360 $ +/- with a cracked screen.

So I thought I just buy it and buy a LCD Digitzer and repair it.

I found an OEM LCD Display which is expensive, another OEM which is half the price, and none-oem which is very cheap

My question now: Which is the best screen? Should I go with the expensive oEM one? Or with the half price OEM one? Or the very cheap one?
I don't want to buy something that is damaged just after 2 weeks again or something like that.

Tinydeal - OEM; Expensive

Tmar - Superior OEM

mobile-universe - none-OEM

EDIT; Sorry guys, I should read it better... just saw it's the camera integrated which makes the big price difference

Thanks a lot!

Greetings,

MicheleIT

How much is iphone screen replacement in a respected repair shop? ifixit has one for 150 eur. quite a few places here repair it for 120-150 eur with the job included, which sounds like a better deal than buying 100$ unknown screen and trying to replace it yourself.

Location: Kaunas, Lithuania, Europe, Earth, Solar System, Local Interstellar Cloud, Local Bubble, Gould Belt, Orion Arm, Milky Way, Milky Way subgroup, Local Group, Virgo Supercluster, Laniakea, Pisces–Cetus Supercluster Complex, Observable universe, Universe.

Spoiler

12700, B660M Mortar DDR4, 32GB 3200C16 Viper Steel, 2TB SN570, EVGA Supernova G6 850W, be quiet! 500FX, EVGA 3070Ti FTW3 Ultra.

See how much the Apple store charges to repair it... if they even offer that in switzerland. https://www.apple.com/support/iphone/repair/screen-damage/

Sadly, they don't offer a repair.

It's minimum 150$ (even 5S costs 180 CHF to replace screen). so too expensive.

I would take the middle OEM product, but I'm not sure about the quality of tinydeal some rate it good some others not..

Maybe I just have to go for it and try ... lel

so 150$ with the job? I would take that deal, can you replace the screen yourself and expect it to look good?

Sorry, Read it wrong on the repair site:

"iPhone 6 - Display Glas Touchscreen = 399 CHF

LCD Exchange = 399 CHF"

Hmm.. never did it - but maybe. It isn't complicated,.. so with a tutorial the right tools.

  • 4 weeks later...

Apple store usually charge much for replacing a broken iPhone screen. So when I shattered my iPhone 6 screen I choose a reliable iPhone lcd replacement supplier-hcqs.com.cn. I replaced the broken screen by myself and now the phone works fine.
