Hey guys, I just got my Seidon 120V and installed it today. Before we get started, here are the specs:

FX 6300 @ 3.7GHz (stock voltage)

AsRock 970M Pro3

Hynix 16GB DDR3-1600

ASUS GTX 760 DCUII-OC (+100MHz GPU and +50MHz memory)

Samsung 840 PRO 512GB

EVGA 400W

So the sound levels aren't bad, especially compared to my stock cooler. They aren't so much quieter, but just a different sound that makes it seem quieter. Now in my BIOS, I have teh option for the CPU fan and chassis fan to be full-on or automatic mode, and automatic mode has a target temperature displayed in Celsius and Fahrenheit, and then a target fan speed, ranging from level 1 through 9. What should I change so that it is quiet when my PC is idle, and only ramps up when I am gaming heavily or doing other CPU intensive tasks? Keep in mind I have my PC on and in my room when I sleep, so the noise was an issue when I had my stock cooler. Also, before I forget, the radiator fan is plugged into the CPU fan header, and is PWM (4 pin). I plugged the CPU pump into the system fan header, with is three pin. Thanks for the help in advance!

use SpeedFan to be able to control your fan speeds inside Windows

The point is to not have to have a background program running in Windows. I want everything to be set in the BIOS, otherwise what fun is that?

set it on auto

That's why I asked, as there are a bunch of settings in auto.

I'm back, MUCH quieter now, I can't even hear the PC. I changed the target temperature to 55C (let me know if that is okay or not) and the fan speed to level 4, which is a little less than half of the max speed. I will play some BF4 to see how it does.

Edit: So I played some BF4, let the CPU heat up, and the fan never even ramped up, and the CPU didn't overheat (obviously). Very happy with this cooler.

@byalexandr the fun is that you can fine tune them to whatever temps and rpm you want at any given point and you don't have 5mb ram ? http://i.imgur.com/tHnJSDE.png and have it autostart so you don't need to even think about it and/or minimized in the taskbar to see ur temps at a glance

CPU : i5 4670k @ 4.2Ghz | Cooler : NH-D14 | GPU : Sapphire Radeon HD 7870 [OC] | MB : Asus Z87-Pro | RAM : A-DATA 8GB 1600Mhz CL9 XPG Black | SSD : 850Evo 250GB

It's fine. I downloaded AsRock Extreme Tuning Utility since I have an AsRock board to see what the temps are. During BF4, which used pretty much my entire CPU, I never went over 52C, and since my target was 55C, the fan never ramped up and remained inaudible. Again, very happy with this purchase as well as my FX 6300.I didn't really want any utilities or anything running in the background, if that is what you're saying. I like to keep my system clean, and this AsRock utility will probably uninstalled now that I know the temps that I am getting. Thanks for the suggestion, though!
