I have tried to run this game on a range of machines all costing £900+ and there is a stupid amount of stuttering even when my fps is above 800 or so.

I have tried running this game on 3 computers:

1)

i5 4670K OC to 4.5Ghz

GTX 760

8GB Ram

2)i5 4690K OC at 4.5Ghz

GTX 970

8GB Ram

3) i7 4790K

24GB Ram

Radeon M295X

On the first PC I am pushing fps 500+ but it still stutters a lot regardless of whether a sync is enabled etc.

On the 2nd and 3rd PC I am struggling to keep a solid 120fps+ and it still stutters a hell of a lot.

I have tried using optifine which makes it significantly better but it's still not great so what is going on here??

All three computers have stuttering even when I am pushing well above the refresh rate at certain intervals but sometimes I am struggling to get more than 30fps looking at the bloody floor..

I don't like 2D games...I just couldn't get into them.. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

It says 64bit Java when I press F3 on all three computers. I'm pretty sure the latest version of minecraft installs the 64bit Java for you anyway.

Do you have 64 bit Java? Do you have a quality monitor? Lock your FPS at refresh rate.

Alright, just wanted to make that sure. Haven't played Minecraft in a long while, so wouldn't know.

But I know if you go from 500 to 60 fps, it feels like stuttering too. Try turning on vsync (either through game or Nvidia control panel/CCC) which limits your fps to your monitor's screen refresh rate (typically 60fps). If you don't get any stuttering, you know it is just because it's going from 500 to 60 fps.

Personally in Vista I feel like I expeirence stuttering while playing minecraft so are all your computers using an up to date OS?

Using a 760 Ti which is a OEM and was said to work with Vista but on other computers it looked way better so I would think about that

Wait, how does an i5 4670k + 770 Beat an i5 4690k + 970 / 4790k with M295X? That is simply impossible. Its like saying than a 970 is better than a Titan X.

That point aside, how can you go from 900+fps to 30fps when looking at the floor? What are your settings like at 900 fps when compared to 30fps?
