My old 6600GT hit 113°C in Furmark with a broken fan.

Got a Replacement for it after that.

I haven't had any of my components actually go over 100°C, but one time I had HWMonitor glitch and say that the IGPU in my laptop was at 511°C..

My heart just skipped a beat. I've seen so many glitches like that in Afterburner too and they still freak me out.

The only time that it's really bad is when the glitch is somewhat believeable.. If it said my CPU was idling at 95, then I'd be a little worried that something wrong.. When I saw the 511 I just started laughing at it.

i7 not perfectly stable at 4.4.. #firstworldproblems

My 2011 macbook air (sorry for using apple, I do have an AMD build) hits up to around 105˚C and I have never seen it become a problem (no frame drops, rock solid stable, doesn't affect equipments connected to it, etc). Now, that does become a problem when it's on my lap even though I might have my jeans on, in which case I lift it up in the air for a lil' bit better airflow, then the temp drops down to stable and more acceptable level.

My new i7 4770k hit 100c during stress test with the shitty stock cooler.

Both my 17" Macbook Pro 2009 model and my 15" 2012 Retina model will hit 100c on a regular basis if doing something heavy.

100C is potentially damaging for your CPU and VRM, although under Prime95 after a minute my laptops CPU hits 97C (TJ max of 100). Just funny how they think you could sit there with something that hot on your lap... I also did some overclocking on the GPU and it hit 103C... Sooo yeah...
