Yes, it is fake. That being said, it's really funny and enjoyable. So as long as you don't think it's real, it's good for a lot of laughs and things to quote between friends. I enjoy the series quite a lot. The way Jesse yells "HOLY SHIT" in some of the videos is hilarious.

Ahahaha I saw this a little while back and LOLed at the fact people thought it was real (granted a lot of his audience are in their early teens so that's understandable), especially when one of his comments was (paraphrasing) "I cant afford jack, I only make $150 a month so I have to live at home"... go to analytics and see he was pulling something like 11 million views a day xD (currently ~1.6M/day, more than double LTT and he has nearly as many subs as Linus).

IIRC it even started as a skit channel or something with the whole family being in on it - IDK for sure, it was a while back, I just saw it and did a little background digging to support my comment claiming it to be BS, I might be confusing it with another channel that does the same thing... there are a few after all because that sort of content makes good money ;)
