As an owner of the maximus Hero IV I have only used the SupremeFX audio chip as my audio device. To what extent would it be worthwhile to get a dedicated sound card? Furthermore at what price range will it be effective to buy a dedicated audio solution over the supremeFX chip?

Currently I use Corsair SP2500 soundsystem and turtlebeach X12 headphones (sometimes Jaybird Bluebud Xs).

You won't benefit much by buying a dedicated soundcard, the high end Asus boards are equipped with really good audio. Want better audio quality? Buy studio headphones from a well known brand.

Sound card:no benefit at all. External solution: maybe a little benefit, but not worth it if there aren't glaring problems with your current setup.

Hey! New SIgnature!

I'm supposedly a person on the Internet, but you'll never know if I'm human or not ;)
