Microsoft customer service wait time?

Since im getting a new mobo/cpu and my os probley wont activate i will most likley ahve to call microsoft for a reactivation code for the OS?

you don't have your old key?

We can't Benchmark like we used to, but we have our ways. One trick is to shove more GPUs in your computer. Like the time I needed to NV-Link, because I needed a higher HeavenBench score, so I did an SLI, which is what they called NV-Link back in the day. So, I decided to put two GPUs in my computer, which was the style at the time. Now, to add another GPU to your computer, costs a new PSU. Now in those days PSUs said OCZ on them, "Gimme 750W OCZs for an SLI" you'd say. Now where were we? Oh yeah, the important thing was that I had two GPUs in my rig, which was the style at the time! They didn't have RGB PSUs at the time, because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big green ones.

Probably not I don;t see why it would do this as all the information is on your hard drive. I have changed out mobos before on my pc and this hasn't happened. Worst thing that happens is you put your product key back in and activate it again. I did this when I formatted my SSD on both my rigs and installed windows fresh.

If you have to call them sometimes you can do it through an automated system which has 0 wait time, otherwise you'll have to talk to someone, but the wait time for me has only been 1-2 minutes at most.

I've done it around 10 times so far.

if the key was OEM it would be tied to the motherboard

Or on a sticker somewhere on the case Im sure.

I used an OEM key on a retail motherboard. Just have to use the Microsoft automated system. The automated system really doesn't care. I was able to activate Microsoft Office on 10 PC's where it was valid for 3.

You are on a need to know basis, and you don't need to know.

The most iv'e waited was for ~30 minutes on Christmas so it was probably a hard day.
