I got le Blue Screen :(

So I got a blue screen earlier, and my stuff has been messed up ever since. Whenever I boot up windows, my background is black, then i switch desktops (via Catalyst Controls) and it returns to normal, and programs don't seem to be running correctly. Is there anything I can do to make it better?

It's probably an HDD issue. How old is your computer?

There are not many reasons for it to set your background to black, it's usually used as an optimization...

 

Either some graphics driver issue, some virus or something else. Probably not HDD related.

 

Try a BSOD analyzer to learn more?

What do you recommend?

Probably your HDD run a health scan. The extensive one that takes like 8 hours and tell it to fix any problems. Mine did this and it fixed itself when I did that
