First Time Build(mostly confirmed parts)

As the title says this is my build, and most of the parts I will most likely use.

This part list I got from TheeBackground. He suggested these parts for me and I did a little tweaking to some of the parts and wanted to see if the newer one is too much overkill or not. Thanks in advanced

My Tweaked Version

Some of the changes is because I would like more RAM since I use mostly chrome and a Tab fiend. HDD and SSD because I like and trust Western Digital and Samsung. The monitor I did a little google research and saw that it was good for gaming. For the keyboard I was thinking the Razer chroma so I can customize the lighting. And if no one notice the theme is kind of black/red lol.

Am I going too much on the second list or is it fine?

Please note that this build is primarily for gaming and me being tired of using low graphics lol.

EDIT: Updated my tweaked version

go for a 7200 rpm drive and it looks great

except that you should buy a 1440p monitor to go along with that 980ti

also go with corsair k90 or k70

<p>Wish I could have this already!! : http://pcpartpicker.com/p/qTLRjX

that looks like a solid build! (the tweaked one)

although the green drives are slow to conserve energy and be quiet.

i would get a blue.

I thought I did select a 1440p monitor. Maybe I looked at it wrong lol. The corsairs looks nice too. I'm a little of a Razer fanboy lol

Thanks guys I'll revise the list. I saw the green was not that great, but didn't think it would matter a lot.

I would suggest a better psu than the NEX. The EVGA GS and G2 versions are much better.

the 980ti is a total waste for 1080p

144hz 1080p or 1440p monitor 16GB is slightly overkill but go for it if you have the budget, get a 7200rpm hdd instead thats my tips also aftermarket cooler for the unlocked cpu so you can really overclock if you want or something that looks awsome

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Yea I like to be safe with RAM since Chrome is so hungry. My max limit budget is around 2500 USD. I'm not into overclocking since I'm an ultra noob to it and don't want to mess it up.

So I changed up the part list according to your suggestions. I edited the one in the original post and it's here as well. Let me know what you guys think.
