Hi everyone. I'm planning on getting CSGO this weekend, and wondering what tips can anyone give me before I get my ass handed to me over and over again. Thanks for reading, and any feedback or advice.

Find a friend.

 

Don't play MM immediately, go play some deathmatch.

 

Also watch TheWarOwl

Download a aim map and practice AK and M4 spray. Also learn the maps and always aim for the head.

The problem with most russians is they dont speak english and if you cant talk you wont have any teamwork soo thats the problem.

Going straight into MM is a very bad idea, i did this and got destroyed... but i guess we learn the hard way.

I'd think that learning the spray patterns of popular weapons like the AK and M4 is a really good idea, and learn how to AWP, double switching between shots eliminates the automatic scope, and it looks nice :3

Play some Arms Race, should get you familiar with most of the weapons.

Don't spray. If you do, compensate for the recoil and aim down as the recoil increases.

Also, if you're totally new and want easy mode, use the P90.

-Recoil is a bitch, learn to control it

-Learn to get kills with more than something like the auto-snipers or AWPs

-Learn to let things go when losing really bad

-Don't stand in the open on the other side of a smoke grenade waiting for it to dissipate, you're a bullet magnet

-Learn to use pistols

-Find that sweet spot DPI setting

 

As to what everyone is saying about Russians, I never run into them. Most people outside of NA and decent connection SA get DC'd or kicked due to outrageous ping. Guess it must be a European thing.

I've just started playing cs go never used a keyboard n mouse before I would play a few games against bots everyday and practice head shots there key to being good at the game. I upload YouTube videos a few days a week and started doing csgo if you want to see them just type MrEleven1181 into YouTube
