Hi Everyone.

So I think I am going to go ahead and build my PC myself instead of giving it to my friend to build because he's a scrub.

I think I'll be able to work out how to put all the parts together to make it start up. The only thing that is worrying me is installing windows into the SSD, and getting all the appropriate drivers/updates for GPU,CPU and anything else.

Anyone have any good guides on how to do these the best and easiest way?

This is my build BTW:

Thanks.

Installing windows may seem daunting, but rest assured if you read, and follow what it says, most of it is self explanatory.

only precautionary thing you might have to do is to manually boot off the cd/ usb in the bios (it should automatically come up with "press any key to boot off the bootable media")

use geforce experience for the graphics drivers, as it simplifies the process a bit. For the rest, your motherboard website would be the best place to start (either that, or google the name of you motherboard+ driver ex "z77 asus sabertooth drivers")

Hi Everyone.

So I am going to go ahead and build the first PC pretty soon. I'm confident that I can put all the parts together and get it working.

The only thing that is worrying me is installing Drivers, OS and any other software.

This is my build:

[PCPartPicker part list](http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/wXL2wP) / [Price breakdown by merchant](http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/wXL2wP/by_merchant/)

If someone would be so kind to make a list up for me of all the drivers (and where to download them) and software that I need to install into the PC, I will be your friend forever!

Thanks for any helps guys.

I see your OS is a DVD, so do you have an internal DVD drive? Also you can probably just use the DVD that comes with your motherboard for your motherboard drivers. Hope that helps.

Thanks. It is a DVD OS install. I'm looking to add a DVD Drive to my Amazon basket.

Thanks.

Drivers should be fine when installed once. GPU driver being exception as its updated as new games need optimizing. But with most other drivers you don't need to update. Only if you encounter problems or errors or there's some new feature you must have.
