CPU Intensive Games

What are the most CPU intensive games?

 

Can those games run fine on an R9 290 and an i3 4160? If not, how bad will they perform?

Well, you don't have to "avoid" any games... all of them will work fine, it's just that some will run better then others.

Typical MMOs just poorly optimized, not intensive at all.

Arma games. DayZ.

 

As for how well they will run, I don't know. My old computer with an AMD Phenom ran Arma 2 and DayZ okay. Just okay. Keep in mind that nearly every Arma game is shittily optimized.

 

I like to think my computer is pretty powerful but I get 30-50fps in DayZ.

Flight Simulator X is a beast. Even if you have a 5960x, it's not good enough. That's probably one game i would recommend staying away from if you plan on turning up your settings an i3.

I'm sure it's not a seriously popular game. I just had to throw it out.
