Did I screw up?

tobeyyy

I've already ordered these parts and they're arriving on Wednesday.

CPU: I5 4690k

Cooler: Hyper 212 Evo

GPU: GTX 780 Ti

MOBO: ROG MAXIMUS VII RANGER

PSU: XFX ProSeries Core Edition 850W

Memory: HyperX Fury DDR3 1600MHz 8GB Black KIT

Case: Corsair Carbide 300R

The reason I got the 780ti and the 850W PSU is because my friend decided to upgrade his PC and sold me them for cheap.

Didn't have much money to cope with so umhhh

Thoughts??????

Whats wrong with it? A 4690k could power a Titan X no question and the 780 ti is still excellent by any standards.

CPU: INTEL Core i7 4790k @ 4.7Ghz - Cooling: NZXT Kraken X61 - Mobo: Gigabyte Z97X SLI - RAM: 16GB G.Skill Ares 2400mhz - GPU: AMD Sapphire Nitro R9 Fury 4G - Case: Phanteks P350X - PSU: EVGA 750GQ - Storage: WD Black 1TB - Fans: 2x Noctua NF-P14s (Push) / 2x Corsair AF140 (Pull) / 3x Corsair AF120 (Exhaust) - Keyboard: Corsair K70 Cherry MX Red - Mouse: Razer Deathadder Chroma

Bit of an AMD fan I suppose. I don't bias my replies to anything however, I just prefer AMD and their products. Buy whatever the H*CK you want.

Its perfect...literally.

When the CPU begins to slouch (years later) you can overclock it to 4.4Ghz or so, and enjoy it for another few years no doubt.

It's a nice balance you have, the 780Ti is a powerhouse!

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

Oh, in any situation where that CPU is being the bottleneck, you're not going to find much better of a CPU.  Sure you could have gotten a 4790k, but the extra threads really don't make much difference in gaming.

Alright, sorry.

Thought I read that the CPU would bottleneck the GPU :S

Vertex3 isn't the fastest thats for sure, its using misleading compressible VS uncompressible data rates...

It's not actually a 550/500 drive, but a 210/110 drive,.. something early SSD makers used in marketing a LOT.

Forgot to mention that I bought this SSD in 2011, I think.

I will most likely upgrade later on  :D
