Gaming PC build

I am building a gaming pc and I my mother board has 4 DDR3 RAM slots.

My possessor (intel i7 4790k 4GHz 8mb cache quad core) says it only supports 2 memory channels.

I am planning on putting in 32gb of RAM and wondered how the 2 memory channels would affect that (would it mean I can only have 2 RAM sticks as I was going to have 4 8gb ram sticks).

I know than there is a video on this but I didn't make any sense of it.

Could you also tell me if my system will run?

and suggest a case that will take full advantage of my system and keep it cool (depending on the case I will use all the fan spaces)

Planned Hardware (and other things):

                                Intel 4th gen i7 4790k quad core 4GHz 8mb cache

He asked if it would run and for a case suggestion, also there is no reason to tell him to upgrade his GPU without even asking him what resolution he is playing in

For gaming why the hell do u need 32GB RAM, use 16 and put the extra money into a better SSD or GPU

but there is still no reason to recommend a GPU if you don't know what "planned resolution" he is playing in

keyboard and mouse:

                                  Genius manticore wired gaming keyboard

A4Tech bloody v7 wired optical mouse

No budget was mentioned, so it's time to make some changes... Going in order.

CPU - Great choice

Cooler - Change this to an AIO Cooler, you need to keep those temps down with something better if you are going to buy such a great CPU.

Motherboard - A bit overpriced, but not too much, and it looks awesome, so we keep it.

RAM - works just fine, doesnt match too well IMO, id get something with a better color to match the motherboard. Also you don't need 32gb of RAM until... never really, but if you want it, get it last.

SSD - Change this to the Samsung 850 Evo or Samsung 850 Pro.

HDD - all good here

GPU - no no no, price/performance is terrible on the 980 now that the 980ti is out, if you got the money, get the 980ti and be happy for many years to come.

PSU - don't buy all the nice hardware and end up with only a bronze PSU, get the Gold, you'll save the money in your electric bill in the end anyway.

LAN Adapter - I'm pretty sure you motherboard has this covered, you don't need to waste money.

Case... I'll let someone else recommend you something, IMO it's all about getting the small things you want in a case, Dust filters, led fans, # of possible fans, AIO support, USB support, Cable Management, ect.

So find something that has all that stuff you want. GL

7800X3D - MSI B650 MAG Tomahawk - 32GB 6000mhz CL30 - Gigabyte 3080 TI - 2TB NVME - 1000w PSU - ID Cooling 240mm AIO
