I believe that's called "a problem"

This is beyond artifacting, either the screen, cable or graphics card is dead.  Have you figured out yet which of the 3 is the culprit?

probably a dying gpu.

Not necessarily, I get this from time to time, but it goes away after like an hour.

It only happened when I got a new asus 144hz monitor. it doesnt happen on the gateway EVER. it could be the cable. Tried re plugging it in but thats not the problem.

I should try a new dvi dual.

probably a dying gpu.

No, i have 7850 cfx and both seem to have the problem, weather cfx or not.

Any suggestions...?

Usually GPU is the culprit, but in some case the monito itself has the fault.. get both of em checked out..

It only started to occur when the asus monitor was bought. the other monitor never has this issue.

Get both RMA'd then, contact an authorised service provider near your region & most probably they'll clear out the issue for you, meanwhile you'll have to use that other one  alone for now..

It's called artifacts, your screen is no good, if it was the GPU, then both monitors will have artifacts.

I agree. I ordered a new cable to see if that would help. I happened when I first got the monitor, went away for a month or two, now what I reinstalled windows it came back. Dont you just love problems??
